About Greg Hafif

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Greg was born and raised right here in the San Gabriel Valley and cares deeply about the community that has given so much to him over the years. He attended high school at Western Christian High School in West Covina and went on to earn dual degrees in Political Science and Business from the University of La Verne. Following college, he earned his law degree from Pepperdine Law School.

Greg has been an attorney for more than three decades. He is renowned for passionately representing severely injured individuals and advocating for the rights of small businesses. His commitment to seeking justice and fair compensation has earned him a stellar reputation within the legal community.

In addition to his legal career, Greg has also served as Chairman of the Board of Balboa Thrift and Loan Association for more than 15 years. In his capacity as Chairman, Greg has played a pivotal role in driving and maintaining the institution’s commitment to providing secure and reliable lending services to underserved communities.

Greg is also a respected member of the Board of Visitors at La Verne College of Law, contributing his expertise and guidance to advance legal education and excellence.

From a young age, Greg’s family instilled in him the importance of acts of public service and giving back to the community. Today, he serves as the Chairman and President of The Hafif Foundation, a philanthropic organization formed by his family. Under his leadership the Foundation has continued its mission of giving back to the community, making a transformative impact on higher education and healthcare. Greg is especially passionate about empowering the next generation and creating a brighter future for students from all walks of life. With Greg at the helm, the foundation has successfully raised millions of dollars and provided scholarships to students in need, making their academic dreams a reality.

Greg also deeply believes that every individual has the right to access affordable, quality healthcare, regardless of their zip code or background. He serves on the Board of Health Service Alliance, a non-profit medical clinic he helped found, which provides compassionate care to over 60,000 underprivileged patients a year.  Greg has spearheaded efforts to shape the organization’s strategic initiatives and ensure equitable access to quality healthcare for vulnerable communities.

Greg is running for Congress because he wants to fight for this community that means so much to him and ensure it affords the same opportunities to future generations that have so positively shaped his own life.

Greg is the proud Dad of Carter, Brooke and Tayton.  He and his wife Fenja live in  La Verne.
